GENOCIDE BY BOOMERANGS is a controversial[citation needed] TRIPPY ROCK BAND with a TRIPPY BAND NAME. It was started in 2007 by a Japanese VIPPER [citation needed] and had a lineup of 28 members before their breakup in 1993, after the infamous "Aboriginal Affair" left 23 dead at a concert in Melbourne[citation needed]. They re-formed[citation needed] in 2011 as an Eurobeat act[citation needed], selling re-hashes of their former hits on iTunes to an audience of ironic post-hipsters[citation needed].

History
Formation and Early Years (2007-2009)
A Japanese VIPPER asked for a TRIPPY BAND NAME, but never used it [1]. He is frequently[citation needed] referred to as "the 29th GENOCIDE BY BOOMERANGS".
The Aboriginal Affair and breakup (1993)
GENOCIDE BY BOOMERANGS' Australian tour exacerbated deeply rooted tensions between Australians and the native Aboriginal minority[citation needed]: In a telephone survey asking Australians whether they found the name of the band offensive, 63% said "Yes", 28% said "Maybe", and 4% said "No"[citation needed].
In a concert given in Melbourne in September 1993, a terrorist group seized the stage, made a vague statement about their politcal goals, then executed various members of the audience for no apparent reason.
In an interview, a traumatized survivor from the audience said: "My name is Squeeks and I condemn murder".
The band broke up a few hours after the incident.
Reformation as an Eurobeat band (2011)
Some critics[Who?] say that the newly reformed GENOCIDE BY BOOMERANGS is only a "shitty markerting-driven effort by 2 italian cocksuckers who never had a creative impact on the original band and should just go die in a fucking fire already"[citation needed].
