VIP Zine
The SAoVQ fanzine was conceived in a thread a while back. Don't be afraid to add your own ideas or edit.
Note: There is an active staff google group for this project. Please email vipperzine@gmail.com if you wish to be added and work as a staff member (anyone can join in, feel free).
Reboot
In late 2013, after the zine had long been dead, some VIPPERS expressed interest in restarting the zine. We are giving it a second go. Please email vipperzine.reboot@gmail.com to be invited to the google group and work on it. Also, posting in the original thread is not a bad idea.

Sections
If you're having trouble thinking of something you'd like to do, here's some ideas for sections.
- AA Story section
- Poetry
- Short stories
- Art
- Pseudo-Academic articles on internet culture/VIP theory/whatever
- Review section(?) - One or two reviews of something, could be manga, video games, something more humorous like a food, AA character, etc.
- Comics
- Paper BBS(?) - It would be a physical paper BBS, that is to say, you mail in your posts/replies to others and then we lay them all out each month in a 2channel sort of format and let it grow however large, this might be a bad idea...
- I don't think that this would be easy to do, but we could always try! Maybe doing a Secret Santa or something in December would be better. Or write-in letters, maybe...
- "SICP of the Day"
- A la a helpful, uplifting quote in the front cover or on a page towards the front, or just excerpts from it, eventually comprising chapters, and, if run long enough, the entirety of SICP?
- Alternate Title: "Have YOU Read Your SICP Today?"
- "SICP of the Month"
- My Feelings on Life in the Tanasinn Chamber.
- Plagiarism.
Ideas
- Having this be physically printed would be great, I think that would make it a lot cooler (although we can have a pdf too that people can download)
- We could mail it out and then release it online
- Should we have staff names or all be VIPPER? It's hard to say, maybe taking up only character names would be best: shobon, giko, mona, etc. etc.
- For the editors and stuff, we could put our wiki account names on the list above for contact info or whatever. But in the printed version, probably VIPPER or character names would be more "in the spirit."
- I agree, I don't think we should have any real account names or anything in the official version.
- For the editors and stuff, we could put our wiki account names on the list above for contact info or whatever. But in the printed version, probably VIPPER or character names would be more "in the spirit."
- Maybe a submit your own VIP pictures, so you could post pictures of some VIP item you own or something you made in your room, or you in front of a monument with daddy cool etc.
- We could see who wanted it mailed to them, and then split up the number of requests among people willing to print.
- When should our first issue come out?
- In one to two months seems reasonable
- Does half-page layouts sound good to everyone? That is, fold a piece of paper in half and it's like two pages? Or should it be full-page? Smaller? I think that half page would be best.
- This guy's art http://img.secretareaofvipquality.net/res/9074.html
- I'm questioning whether or not we should even have a set staff? Or shall we all just work together with submissions and so on?
- Any ideas for names?
- Since we seem to have a pretty good hold on some of the sections, should we just look for submissions containing any of those sorts of content?
- Yup, let's do that.
